Fly have called this car a Porsche 917/10 and used a 917/10 shell. The car that Helmut Müller drove in the 1974 Interserie was in fact the first of Porsche's 917/30 chassis, built to 1973 "Spyder" specification with an adjustable wheelbase.
Race reports from the period sometimes referred to this car as a Porsche 917/20TC because of the use of a 917/30 front section (which is slightly more rounded than a 917/10) mated to a 917/10 rear. More information about the 1:1 car can been found at the following link: Porsche 917/30-001 history |
