Fly have erroneously labelled this car as having competed at and won the 1980 Brands Hatch 6hr race driven by Riccardo Patrese and Walter Röhrl. In fact, Patrese and Röhrl won the Brands race in car number 19; identical livery to Fly's model, just a different number.
The number 53 car modelled here competed at the 1980 Silverstone 6hr race, driven by Riccardo Patrese and Eddie Cheever, retiring when a broken wheel caused a crash. Walter Röhrl was entered to drive with them, but didn't. |
