This car is from Scalextric's "LEGENDS: McLaren M7C vs Team Lotus Type 49" boxed set, where it is paired with Jackie Oliver's 1968 British Grand Prix Lotus 49.
Scalextric's high-winged M7C represents the car as used for Monaco's Thursday practice sessions. Between practice and the race, wings were banned for safety reasons and the car raced without them, instead fitted only with a small ducktail rear spoiler. Scalextric's printed description inside the box wrongly claims that "In this race the wings survived".
McLaren has produced a short YouTube video history of the M7C explaining why it became known as "The Thursday Car".
