The Slot.it plinth details for this car appear to be incorrect, claiming it finished 3rd at the 1971 Sebring 12 Hours. In fact it did not finish, retiring from the race when a fuel pump failed. The model appears to represent the car as it was driven in practice by Andrea de Adamich.
The #34 car was driven in the race by Nino Vaccarella and Toine Hezemans. It was only during practice that it was driven by Andrea de Adamich and Henri Pescarolo. The car that finished 3rd was #32, driven by de Adamich, Pescarolo and, after his #34 car retired, Vaccarella. Jeff Allison has written about these cars at Sebring 1971 at www.velocetoday.com |
